EB-5 investment opportunities through CMB Regional Centers

In 2012, CMB Regional Centers (CMB) first contemplated funding the development and construction of the first Great Wolf Lodge resort to come to California, which would be located in Garden Grove, California, only two miles from the Disneyland Resort. In 2013, CMB’s Group XVI Partnership provided $116 million in EB-5 investment funds for the development and construction of the Great Wolf Lodge Southern California (as it came to be known). Four years later, the resort celebrated its grand opening, having successfully received and implemented $116 million of EB-5 investment funds from CMB’s Group XVI Partnership. The Great Wolf Lodge Southern California has been one of the most successful Great Wolf Lodges and continues to be a pillar of their brand.
In 2017, building upon the successful raise of $116 million for the Great Wolf Lodge Southern California, CMB undertook its second Great Wolf Lodge EB-5 raise to provide financing for the construction of a Great Wolf Lodge located in LaGrange, Georgia (Southwest of Atlanta). Great Wolf Resorts, Inc. utilized $72 million of EB-5 investment funds from CMB’s Group 51 Partnership. Recently, members of CMB’s Senior Management and the Executive Team at Great Wolf Resorts, Inc. celebrated the grand opening of the Great Wolf Lodge Georgia.
The EB-5 Program is a United States immigration program requiring the creation of 10 new American jobs through foreign investment. Investors are required to invest a minimum of $500,000 in rural and high unemployment areas in order to create these jobs, and in exchange have the opportunity to obtain U.S. permanent residency for themselves and their qualified family members.
As the newest addition to the Great Wolf Lodge family, the Great Wolf Lodge Georgia has been filling approximately 600 open positions within its hotel, waterpark, and the rest of the resort. LaGrange has a population of only 30,000, so the addition of the Great Wolf Lodge Georgia to the community provides significant opportunities and employment for the local economy. Although the majority of the jobs created through the EB-5 Program are based upon economic models and the impacts associated with new expenditures and revenues in a given area, it is exciting to see the direct job creation associated with projects of this scale and industry. It is with true sincerity that CMB Regional Centers applauds the efforts of all involved in making this project a reality for the small community of LaGrange.
Great Wolf Resorts, Inc. owns and operates the Great Wolf Lodge chain of resorts in the United States and Canada. Founded in 1997, Great Wolf Resorts, Inc. operates 16 Great Wolf Lodge locations, with two additional locations currently under construction and several under consideration. The main attraction of each Great Wolf Lodge is the indoor waterpark, but each location offers additional amenities such as spas, restaurants, bowling alleys, adventure courses, arcades, etc.
CMB Regional Centers, first founded in 1997, is among the most experienced and successful regional center operators in the United States. Having facilitated EB-5 investments for over 5,200 immigrant investors throughout the country, CMB has never had an investment fail to meet the immigration requirements established for each of the over 5,200 clients.
Currently, CMB is raising funds to provide EB-5 financing for the newest Great Wolf Lodge, located in the Phoenix/Mesa metro area in Arizona. This raise will consist of 81 limited partners funding a total of $40.5 million. When combined with other capital, the total development costs for the Great Wolf Lodge Arizona will exceed $150 million. As Great Wolf Lodge continues its successful expansion to include resorts all over the United States, CMB looks forward to continuing to offer EB-5 investment opportunities to investors throughout the world.
